Jody Regan Fine Art

Jody Regan

In the vaunted works of Art, the master-stroke is Nature's Part - Ralph Waldo Emerson

After twenty-one years as a software engineer, Jody discovered her passion and a second career as an artist. She has a degree in mathematics from Boston College where she took drawing electives each semester in the Fine Arts department, but didn't pick up a paint brush until returning to Massachusetts  years into her software career.

September 18th  - Moonlight unveiling at Webster Plaza in Marshfield.  Five premiere South Shore artists' work, including mine,  were unveiled billboard-sized in Webster Plaza.  Music, cash bar, lights, drama! Check out these videos of the unveiling! Mine is the first painting you see.  My young daughter is the videographer (and lead cheering section) in the first.

Jody's first painting teacher was her mother, accomplished New England artist, Joanne F. Regan, who planted the fundamentals of good design, accurate drawing, and fresh color. Jody is an artist member of the Academic Artist Association.  She has won drawing and painting awards throughout New England.  Jody teaches oil painting at North River Arts Society in Marshfield, MA; where she has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1998.  She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and daughter.

I painted the portrait of my daughter on the left when she was eight.  My mother  painted the portrait of me when I
was six.
